Lexxie Mathis is a bass player and composer based in Brooklyn, NY. Her passion for music started at a very young age; she would hear her brother play records by The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and any other rock n roll band they were obsessed with at that time. Although her love for music has always been evident, she didn’t start playing bass until 2019. Before she actually picked up the bass she would always gravitate towards it in songs and when she finally got the opportunity to buy her own she couldn’t put it down.
Lexxie has toured with Jared Mattson of the Mattson 2 for his Middle East Tour in 2022, she is a session bass player in NYC and has played with multiple bands ranging from jazz-funk, indie and rock, and she also composes ambient music of her own. This year she was also featured in Cynosure Magazine where she spoke about her musical journey.
Lexxie Mathis has done so much in such a short amount of time her journey is just getting started!
